JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Deputy Head of Digital Marketing 


Lead the delivery of SEM across both paid and organic, maximising reach and revenue generated via channels whilst harnessing best practice. Act as champion within the business and develop channel strategy in line with department objectives, ensuring synergy with core business concepts through close collaboration with channel managers and stakeholders. 


  • Manage budgets ensuring maximum marketing spend effectiveness in line with digital traffic, sales and product objectives. Taking into consideration synergy with organic traffic strategy
  • Manage and develop the SEO strategy, in line with digital traffic, sales and product objectives
  • Track, report and analyse account performance and report to the broader business on weekly and period basis
  • Lead on ad serving and digital agency relationships including the optimisation of CSS partners
  • Identify market trends and proactively make strategic PPC campaign recommendations via a strategy documentation  
    • With a particular view to developing the channel by incorporating new features and evolving industry trends
  • Implement and manage testing plan across all accounts, sharing knowledge and insight with channel managers and key product stakeholders 
  • Contribute to team-based plans and strategy around key promo times and major product launches
  • Provide critical insight by analysing and reporting on BAU and campaign activity to key business stakeholders 
  • Manage and develop relationships with all digital agency and tool providers taking on best practice recommendations  
  • With assistance from digital agency carry out technical SEO audits, determining actions and implementing technical improvements to drive traffic, conversion and UX improvement across sites
  • Working with digital trading, buying and content teams to provide process and output recommendations for the production of high-quality, SEO friendly content
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEM news and search engine algorithm developments
  • Work alongside the other business functions to ensure all best practise technical SEO is considered throughout related touchpoints
  • Management and provision of associated product feeds

Role Requirements 

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing paid & organic search, with knowledge of the impact of social media, and display advertising
  • 4 years +experience in Digital Marketing
  • Track record of external digital agency management
  • PPC knowledge and experience managing multiple deliverables and stakeholders

  • Competency with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics with capacity to the deliver
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in on-line marketing and measurement
  • Google Ads certification
  • This role is part remote working, part office based. We aim to be as flexible as possible


About the location

Neilson Square is the home of our original warehouse and distribution centre, as well as many head office functions. Situated in Livingston, our site is in-between Edinburgh and Glasgow and very easily reached by car and public transport.
