About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join schuh’s CRM team, as the Junior Salesforce Developer to lead the development and optimisation of schuh's Salesforce platform. This role reports to our CRM & Loyalty Manager. 

The Junior Salesforce Developer will work closely alongside the CRM and digital marketing teams to bring business requirements to life ensuring customers are receiving the best possible experience whilst leveraging Salesforce technology. 


  • Building segments and automations in Marketing Cloud 
  • Setup dynamic campaigns using AMPscript 
  • Create cloud pages for data capture and other projects
  • Act as the first line of support for the users on the Salesforce platform
  • Propose new ways of working for the teams to reduce campaign execution time and effort 
  • Understand and implement Salesforce best practises
  • User Training
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practises to continually improve
  • Work with CRM team and the wider digital team as the Salesforce expert
  • Manage and communicate a clear roadmap for future projects
  • Ensure all Salesforce activity adheres to GDPR policies
  • Enthusiastic to learn and willing to get stuck in
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Health & Safety policy and procedures
  • Carry out further duties as required by the Company

The right candidate will be:

  • Hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience including knowledge of Marketing Cloud functionality such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Einstein, Automation Studio, and Cloud Pages 
  • Experience using AMPscript and SQL 
  • Good working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Data-driven and data literate, analytical, and highly passionate
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Methodical testing approach
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • A keen interest in developing and growing Salesforce knowledge
  • Creative in their approach
  • Solution focussed- seeks workarounds when problems arise
  • Organised and able to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Confident in presenting to stakeholders


  • Experience with Ad Studio, Social Studio 

This role is based at our Livingston Head Office or London Head Office, Covent Garden. 

However, we do aim to be as flexible as possible and there is potential for this to be a remote role.
